tassels, lace, red marble, and ruching
Four small gestures that shift a space without fully announcing themselves. Ruching, tassels, red marble, and lace each hold their own kind of weight, adding softness, rhythm, or depth in ways that feel instinctive rather than styled.
Tassels
A tassel feels like a gesture more than a detail. Something that is added at the very end, when everything else is already decided. It doesn’t need to be there, which is exactly why it works, a quiet excess.
It sways just enough to remind you the object isn’t static. It’s alive in the room, catching air. I’m obsessed with these sconces from Henrii and this Emanuele Pantanella For Fendi vintage clutch.
Lace
Lace feels like something you almost miss if you’re not paying attention. There’s a quiet intimacy to it, too. It shows and conceals at the same time. It never really loses that delicacy. It just becomes more human, more lived-in.
Red Marble
Red marble has a quiet intensity to it. Even when it wraps an entire room, it reads as intentional rather than overwhelming. There’s a richness to it that doesn’t need contrast or decoration.
Ruching
Ruching reads like restraint rather than excess. It brings a quiet kind of femininity into a space. Not overt or decorative, but something softer, more intuitive. Edges feel less rigid and there’s a sense of care in it.
Happy Sunday. xx
