desk, plants, headboards, & windows
I’ve been obsessing over certain home elements that end up doing more work than you would expect. The way a desk is your natural landing spot, windows that set a mood, headboards becoming the focal point of a room, and plants that breathe life into the space. Here are my findings over the past couple of weeks.
Desks
There’s something satisfying about a desk that can handle a little clutter and still look good. Even if I’m not working at it all day, it becomes the place I can drift back to. The perfect desk doesn’t need to be elaborate; just a quiet space to ground the room.
Plants
I prefer to have one singular, larger plant in a room rather than fill the space with a bunch of smaller ones. It breathes life into the room without feeling busy. It feels more intentional; like the plant becomes part of the architecture instead of just decor.
Headboards
Headboards always feel a little underrated to me. It’s a detail you don’t fully notice until it’s right. It gives the bed a sense of place, like it actually belongs there instead of just being pushed against a wall.
Windows
I always notice how much windows influence the mood of a room. A window decides how much of the outside world gets invited in. Frosted and textured windows have such a nice way of diffusing light, making everything feel softer.
Happy Sunday. x
