24 Fall Looks
past and present
Are we all feeling the shift of a new season? It seems we’re collectively rushing into fall, eager to dive back in and finish the year strong. With layering ahead, I’m also reflecting on seasons past, sharing 24 looks that brought me here.

Is it even fall without a Nour Hammour leather jacket? I’ve collected more than a few, but the mix of style, quality, and price point makes them impossible to resist. A recent closet edit reminded me I only own three skirts, I’m not sure I need more, but I’ll know the right one when I see it. For now, I’m most excited to bring the Bottega Hop back into rotation.

Happy to report suede and trenches still holding strong this fall and a scarf at the neck with a scarf tie, feels like an instant yes. I wore it in Paris last season and it felt undeniably luxe. This time, I’m adding more scarves at the waist too. Scarfs just add that extra layer of depth to a look.

In seasons past I leaned into cognac tones and loved every shade of brown, many of which I’ll bring back into rotation. But this fall, I find myself craving something deeper, a rich, chocolate brown perhaps.

We love a low-rise denim, but lately I’ve been hunting The RealReal for low-rise slim cut trousers. I’m ready for a new silhouette not fully parting with wide legs or bootcuts, but leaning into something a little different. My sister gave me this 2000’s Stella McCartney suit and at first it was a shock to the system, the cut was so slim but now I am craving more of this. More to come…

Shape play is top of mind cropped jackets, long layers, and proportions in flux. I borrowed this By Malene Birger jacket last season and have been on the hunt for something similar ever since. TBD on what I uncover.

Ah, Paris….why are you the perfect place to capture a moment? Every corner, every wall, the light itself feels alive. How I wish I could recreate that in LA. I remind myself often to bring my Paris vision home, because those are the looks that bring me the most joy and the ones I return to often.

Outerwear is probably my greatest weakness (or strength, lol) a problem solver for any look that isn’t quite working. A coat or jacket has the power to shift your whole personality. I recently revisited my outerwear closet and felt a rush of excitement pulling out favorites: Source Unknown Jacket, The Frankie Shop’s long wool coat, and anything suede.

I’ve been living in black denim lately, worn-in washes, jet black, balloon, straight leg, and most recently a bootcut. It feels relaxed yet elevated, almost like it’s cosplaying as a trouser, which I love. Brilliantly versatile, it works for everything from appointments and meetings to drinks or dinner.

Happy almost Fall!
